Minolta Hi-Matic AF2
I finally found a Minolta AF2 that didn't have the motor drive and after some fixes it works like a dream. Went out for the day on a jetty that takes 2 hours to walk to the end and back and wanted to see how the camera did for close and far focus. Not bad. Sometimes shooting on film feels like cheating.

I kinda fell in love with the Minolta's point and shoot look (even if the autofocus is a bit off) but unfortunately the motor advance decided to fry out after a roll and a half (will never by motor advance again). If anyone has any recommendations for a good (and cheap) point and shoot with flash and manual advance lemme know

Shot my first roll of black and white on a brand new little plastic point-and-shoot camera. I found this Minolta in a thrift shop for cheap and grabbed it because I wanted something (mostly) pocket-able and with built in flash and other than the god-awful motor advance, I love it. No idea what caused that line across the top of a couple of the first shots though.
Went drinking in the woods in the rain at a buddies house and decided that's where I'll test the camera out. A night of old punks, drinks, a fire pit, hidden treasure in a tree and soggy clothes

Maybe one of my favourite rolls I've shot in a long time. Made sure to put the guy juggling machetes at the end to maximize your attention
Also I feel that pic kinda breaks my "no peoples faces" rule but its a guy balanced on a bunch of wacky stuff juggling machetes surrounded by people also taking photos. I think these guys expected to be caught on tape somewhere
